this is one of my favorite pieces of yours.

i'll admit, i was skeptical at first, when i read the mule and forty acres part. it was a little flimsy
but you did well to weave it all together and make it coherent, and the end completely justifies the start
basically, try using extended metaphors more often like this. i can tell you've got a knack for them
