Hey there! Just got my iPhone yesterday... Thought I might as well post a journal about it from it. The only real problem I have with it os the lack of flash capability since i would love to make iphone flash games. I do hope the rumors are true about an AIM app soon to come, but im not really sure if I would use it that much anyway.

Yes, it doesn't work all that well. I mean, it's just like using meebo on a desktop but you have to constantly scale the page and look around it to find chat windows. The main problem I have is that you can't make a new window out of a chat (at least, when I tried it crashed safari). And even if you could, switching windows is more annoying than switching between chats should be.

Basically, it's really not worth it unless it were somehow an emergency where I needed to get on aim.

And even if someone did make a nice web 2.0 chat client (I believe trillian is working on quite a nice looking one), it would still run just like a web 2.0 application and not like an iPhone application. There's a lot of stuff they could do with a real app that they couldn't in web 2.0 (at least, to my knowledge). But I guess we'll see about that once the iPhone trillian is done.
