I realized last night that I either need to get rid of some books, or get some more book cases. Since we all know the first option isn't happening, does anyone know where one can buy some cheap shelves?

That's a good idea. Actually, I was recently thinking that I should learn to carve cool designs into wood, so I can make decorative shelves.

Target has pretty decent bookcases for cheap. :)

If you're looking for wall-mounted shelves, I like my kitchen shelves which were purchased at Home Depot (also for cheap :).

Wall mounted shelves would probably be a good idea, but then I'd have to figure out what to do with all the random crap I have on my walls. I've been meaning to redecorate, anyway.

Big Lots/Odd Lots has functional but cheap bookcases. I'm not crazy about them, though, because they're only 6 feet high. I keep saying I'm going to build-in shelves someday... the kind with the vertical strips onto which you hang brackets that hold up the shelves. It's just a more efficient use of space when you can go to the ceiling and use different heights and depths for different sized books. Also for decorating purposes, it's more versatile, because you can leave openings for artwork.

Yeah, one of these days... *sigh*
