Completely messed up my SOP.  Too narrative-y, too conversational, too specific, too stuffed with names, too bleh.  Why did I send it off?  One prof has responded (one week later) with a lot of very, very critical comments.  No smiles in there.  Ugh

I'm going through the same thing at the moment, and it sucks/is stressful. But you are way ahead of me, in that you actually have at least a rough SOP. I only have a set of bullet points thus far. So consider yourself lucky?

Ah, you will be fine too, my dear. Awesome bullet points always turn into fantastic essays (if I recall something from my CORE/undergrad days :0)

As much as this process is a pain in the butt, isn't it...COOL? The light at the end of the tunnel is so warm and fuzzy!
