Hear hear! I totally don't buy the "it sounds better" crap. You master well enough, your CD will sound just fine, analog warmth schmanalog schwarmth.

But vinyl is quite simply morally superior. There need be no explanation. It just is better because it just is. Better.

You can get some vinyl storage from www.bagsunlimited.com, by the way. Milk crates are of course the wrong size now, and old ones are hard to come by. Good luck!

Milk crates are the wrong size now? I guess my vinyl storage box does say "twin cites dairy" on it, which by the way hasn't existed for over 25 years.

I have some new records that sound totaly diferent in terms of quality. "Action Pact" by Sloan sounds awesome, it is so punchy and warm, on the other hand "If it was you" by Tegan and Sara sounds not quite so awesome, the mids are a little thin and the high end sounds brittle. The sloan album would have had a much bigger budget, it was recorded in one of LA's top studio's and was probably recorded on an analog deck. The T&S album would have had a much smaller budget and was recorded on an Island in the Georgia Strait, definitly on digital equiptment.
