Ah Yes! This was no ordinary BBQ. My grandfather took us to a po-dunk TX town with no more than 700 people living there. But these 700 people could very well join hands and sing the praises of their BBQ joint on the square. G-pa has been going there for the past 20 yrs, and now I know why. Enter what seems an unassuming little deli, with a counter up front to get beans and salad, perhaps a drink and some cheese. Pass all that, it ain;t made o' meat! run to the back of the place, enter into a separate room full of smoke and flame, with three men whose lungs must have ling since turned to squat. Tell these men: how many ribs, how many links, how many slices of brisket and you shall have it. On a sheet of butcher block paper. Leave this room, find a place to sit, and clear your schedule. MMMMMMM I would happily stab a man in the eye for one more piece of this brisket. It was that good.
