I'm glad you and your mom had a good time there! (Did you stay late enough for fireworks? They're setting them off every night. XD)

I kept not believing people about the fireworks because they're usually so safety conscious there, and with the fire danger and all it seems so unlikely, but too many nights in a row to not accept that it's a thing. Still, didn't stay for it last time cause I didn't know it existed.

Oh silly Joe. Safety? The "fire" in fireworks is figurative! They explode in the sky and then dissipate (as set out by the laws of thermodynamics, which say that you can totes get rid of energy or matter anytime you want if it looks cool)!
