Summary: Have you ever seen anything so beautiful?
Notes: I didn't actually use the summary question in the fic, for once. *laughs* leyenn also asked for Adora/Glimmer, and though I am not normally inclined to write femslash, I did my best.
Glimmer stood at the edge of a short cliff and looked out over the Whispering Woods spread out beneath her. The wind on her face carried with it the sweet scent of the magical trees that were found nowhere else in the entire universe. The setting sun seemed to cover everything in a shimmering golden haze, and the air was filled with the sounds of the forest rather than the sounds of battle.
“Glorious,” the young princess of Brightmoon exclaimed, “simply glorious!”
“I couldn’t agree more,” said an unexpected but wholly welcome voice behind her. Glimmer turned just in time to see the last rays of the sun alight on Adora’s hair, making it look like golden fire. Glimmer’s breath caught in her throat.
Adora’s eyes never left Glimmer’s face as she reached out to brush her fingers across the princess’ cheek. “I’ve never seen anything so beautiful,” she said with a smile.
