This is another
fandom_stocking drabble. I'm too tired to say anything else right now.
Title: Give Me Your Words
Series: None
Word Count: 169
Rating: G
Disclaimer PostSummary: Levi doesn't just use words in her magic, she also loves them--just like she loves Lucy.
Notes: This was for
ember_reignited's stocking on the aforementioned comm. For reference, Wikipedia says that Levi "is able to solidify written words and have opponents experience the corresponding effect, such as throwing the word "fire" to cause a burning sensation."
Words are more than Levi's magic, they're the best part of her whole world. Words have a magic all their own, wholly apart from the power Levi gives them. No, their power is greater than Levi's--far, far greater. They can hurt, they can heal, they transport, they can enlighten, they can do anything the one who wrote them wishes.
Levi loves all writers for the joy they give just by sharing their words, but her favorite by far is Lucy. Lucy is more dear to Levi than her favorite book and infinitely more beautiful. And her words! Levi could spend hours and hours just communing with the words Lucy writes.
Lucy is so bright, so beautiful, she can have anyone she wants. She doesn't need to turn around and look behind her when there are so many candidates right in front of her. So when Lucy comes up to Levi one day and writes "I love you" on the palm of her hand, Levi never sees it coming.
