I'm kinda the same way. When it comes to religion, I don't think I'm spiritually mature enough to be a part of one. I guess maybe it's the analytical side of me that won't let me believe. In that sense, I may never be spiritually mature in a way that accepts religion, but I have my own views on the world and spirituality, and that makes me happy.

Oh yes, and Lydia and Samara are awesome at making people happy. Brendan? I don't know a Brendan very well. Then again, I'm bad with names. :p

I'm interested in your notion of "spiritual maturity." Being who I am and having my beliefs, I can't say I believe that not being OK with choosing one religion is indicative of a lack of maturity. We all pursue the spiritual in our own ways. I don't think that spirituality can function hierarchically.

i was about to post the same thing. i also think that it is more mature to not go with something because you're sticking to your own beliefs, than it is to go with something you disagree with. it's harder, and can therefore be the challenge and growing katherine was talking about in her comment on my religion post. i think its important to really think about what you believe, rather than let a church or religion tell you what's what.
