Ennis sat in the hospital waiting room, one hand to his mouth as he nervously bit his nails,  the other hand grasping the chair arm so tightly his knuckles were white.

Ennis could never remember a time when he had been so worried and nervous.

He wished he had gone in with Jack while the doctor examined him.

the episode with the low blood sugar was interesting, how neat that jack needs sugar treats, he's like a hummingbird now..!

i loved these lines:

“You had me really worried there,” Ennis said, smiling and caressing Jack's face with his large palm.

“I could never of guessed,” Jack said sarcastically, a wide grin spreading across his face.

and this too:

Jack just looked at Ennis still confused, until Ennis moved his hand between Jack's legs, squeezing the bulging denim playfully.

“Mmm,” Jack purred, a little surprised at Ennis' uncharacteristic display of lust.

i love large palmed lusty ennis and a happy purring jack!

Oh me too - don't see the words "large palm" around very often, so it was a nice image to have in my head while I drooled and thudded and tried to be a professional beta. LOL
