All the feels!!!!
Firstly, they agreed to Crowley's terms in time to save Sheriff Mills, right? RIGHT? I was yelling at my TV, "Don't listen to him, Jodi!! He's a demon! Run, run, run far away!!!"
Most importantly...SAD SAMMY!! Sad Sammy broke my heart so thoroughly. He thinks Dean thinks he's a failure! He thinks Dean would rather hang out with angels and vampires than his own brother! He thinks his greatest sin is that he's let Dean down! *sob* And for a guy who's idolized his big brother all his life, that has to hurt so bad. *double sob*
Interesting that the demon-saving process seemed to be working. Crowley was almost as big a mess as Sam. And was that holy oil Sam used to douse Abbaddon? I can't imagine holy water would have much effect on her, and it certainly wouldn't ignite.
Questions to ponder over the summer: Did Crowley survive? Is he still a demon? Mostly demon? Mostly human? How will Sam recover from the damage the first two trials did to him? Was he feeling the angels falling? The last trial would have killed him, so was he on the road to becoming an angel himself? Will Castiel become a real hunter now that his grace has been taken from him? Will we see High Hippie Castiel, Model 2014? Will we see more subtle references to the alternate 2014 Dean experienced back in season 5? Will Abbaddon wreak havoc on Crowley, the Men of Letters, both? What will Metatron do with an empty Heaven?
In the meantime, be on the lookout for dazed and confused socially awkward strangers in nice suits. They need some time to adapt. :)
