I don't know that I'm ever going to completely follow that Sam/DeanSam/BobbySam argument in the car. I'm watching Sam argue with himself and himself about whether and why he should or should not go toward the light. My head hurts.
And the conversation with Death, with Sam wanting to make sure he would be Dead Forever Dead this time; I just kept thinking that it sure as hell wouldn't stop Dean from trying to bring him back, and his lack of success would just send him into an ever-increasing spiral of lonely desperation which would end very, very badly.
I like Ezekiel so far. But wow, was he awkward walking around in Sam's body. That was just weird.
Castiel in a laundromat in his underwear! That will send certain segments of fandom into a tizzy.
Poor Castiel. He has so many ethical dilemmas to face now. He can't be sure who to trust, and he really has to think about his own survival in very basic, essential terms. Like having to choose between clean laundry and starving, or stealing and eating. And already he's been let down by an angel he truly thought he could help.
Not a flash-bang start to the season, lots of interior navel-gazing, but a solid set-up, I think. And the special effects gore department has a healthy budget this year, it looks like, judging by all the damage just about every character received.
