Hello World,

Long time no speak. There is not much to say except for the fact that I have recently joined the legions of the damned. That's right I am a telemarketer. I have some advice for all of you who are bothered by telemarketers:

I never get called by telemarketers. It's rather disappointing.

But I do agree that it isn't acceptable to abuse telemarketers. Just you.

I used to telemarket for the Lion's Club - so I know what it's like dude. You'll lose it after three months, I guarantee it. :)

I've found on average I've been more civil to 'marketers since I worked there, but not as a whole. Some of them don't know when to quit.

"Hello, is Mr. Smart there?"
"Okay now friend, I'm getting a little tired of having people call for 'Mr Smart' since they do it on a regular basis and he hasn't lived here in over three years, maybe more. I really, really wish they would stop calling for him, it's depressing. Please get them to stop."
"Oh that's no good - maybe I can help you by giving you some great bargains?"
"*chuckles*" and hangs up the phone.

I knew when to quit when I played the game. Why can't they? :)

Been there, done that.

Funny how you get almost suicidal.

I just pretend to be under 18 and completely clueless and tell them my dad's not there and I don't think I'm allowed to speak to them. If they press, I just keep saying I don't think I'm allowed to speak to them in a sweet little-girl voice. Works pretty well.
