Very Confusing..

I was in Giant (the local grocery store, for the non-DC area people) yesterday, and encountered something that I didn't think much of at the time, but the more I think of it, the more confused I am

I suspect it was a statement of fact: his back was feeling a little bit off that day, so he wore the "back off" jacket to warn people that he wouldn't be much help lifting or carrying.

Er, and his friends in the bakery department had a little fun with his spelling.

Maybe the jacket symbolizes his responsibilities in the Bakery Office, buying and selling large quantities of flour, sugar & eggs?
