I've not seen the Beowulf but you can't go wrong with Battlestar Galactica! (the remake anyway, the original isn't so great unless it has nostalgic value...)

Don't, your eyes will bleed, and that's just the first 5 minutes.

This is the remake- the pilot episode, and as we were still watching at 11pm, not a bad thing. THough I have a fondness ofr old Scif shows, and I am just (but only just) old enough to remember watching them on the forst reruns in the early 80's.. ;)

Beowolf was laughably bad. The only redeeming feature was that it was in 3D and some of the CGI came out of the screen in a semi-scary manner.

You can't go wrong with Battlestar Galactica though, at least not if it is the remake. It is a superb, if very depressing, show. took a slight dip during season 3, but has now recovered fantastically.

BSG is excellent, but don't watch season 1 unless you've see the mini series. Give me a shout if you need to borrow it.

Strangely having no problems seeing Starbuck as a cigar smoking female though. I wonder why.. ;)
