Despite being up to here *gestures at point several inches above above head* in work related crapola and looking forward to a weekend spent staring at a computer monitor and going quietly mad I couldn't resist the temptation to bring to the attention of the world (or at least the portion of it sufficiently bored to read this journal) the results ( Read more... )

Damn you scientist type people and your so-called "logick"! But yes, you have a point. What I'd like to see them do next is compare these results with stats relating to access to high quality higher education in these various countries. I'd suggest you might then see a link between states where university education is effectively free at the point of entry and states with higher economic mobility across the generations. (BTW you very definitely weren't the capitalist pigdog refered to above)
