Why are the Republicans talking about corporate greed? I'm not being sarcastic, aren't they supposed to be the greed is good party? Isn't self-interest the guiding principle behind the invisible hand?

Riiiiiight. So, they're moving away from finding market solutions. We're debating types of intervention now? I don't mind, I just want to be on the same page as everyone else. We've relegated Friedman et. al. to the dustbin then? And didn't even need to go through a depression to get there?

But that was BS. If they enact more financial market regulations, and windfall taxes, they're really changing the course of the party. That just ain't Reagan.

Well, they had thrown that away when Tricky Dick was in office, but they were always great defenders of privatized solutions. That really seems to be gone.
