Yesterday Amazon.com begun their new service of selling Mp3's online. The difference between them and other online stores is that they have no copy-protection/digital rights on their downloads. I don't know what other websites policies are on this, but I know for a fact with Amazon you can copy the music on to 20 computers if you wanted to and

In america country has always been the big thing. In detroit, where your parents grew up, it was rock. If the rock n' roll hall of fame stays in business it will judge entrants based on the same things it does now quality and sales. A rock musician needs to write music rock fans like. If u ain't writing what people want to hear, start.
The distribution of the music doesn't matter. The average music fan doesn't give a rip about sound quality. The issues about formats just don't count when selling the music so don't worry about it. From a business standpoint the mp3 is a good thing because it reduces transaction costs and increases gross margin.
So shut up and record an mp3. The put in on itunes and amazon.
