I love writing with a visual aid of sorts. The combination of two of my favorite things; art (in this case, photography) and written art, is completely powerful for me!

Each of these was amazing, but I think my favorites were "Black Dream" and "Masculinity".

I shout against fear, "I won" and wipe my blood and sweat.
I look down and realize that I'm the only one celebrating.

I don't know what to say except that it's tragic and much deeper than it would seem just at reading it quickly. So good (I'm sorry I lack eloquence...)

And the whole of "Masculinity" is just absolutely mesmerizing to me. The idea of giving someone permission to feel "superior, possessive, in control" is vulnerability at it's greatest, and yet, conversely...there is control in it. The upper hand really belongs to the one being vulnerable.

Hmm, did that make sense?

I love, bb. Really. I just lack all intelligent feedback skills. :)

*blushes*

thank you Mary. In all honesty, the pieces I post here are more of a... what do you call it... for safe keeping? and... for a release? It's definitely not something I expect people would read..

I'm not a real photographer, equipped with an SLR camera-actually I'm more like a frustrated one! lol!

Like you, everything I post here is personal. I don't divulge information about myself just as easily, but with every piece I write, I'm becoming more and more exposed-naked to the world.

and yes, what you said made sense. ;) Masculinity was inspired from my inability to subject myself under anyone's authority. My pride reasons out that my vulnerability is not a weakness, but a choice.

You're welcome, Grace. :) Does it bother you, at all, that I comment on the things you write here?

I'd love to have a really nice camera to take really nice photos with. At the moment, I have no camera at all. Which is utterly depressing. Frustrated photographer. Aww.

It's sort of a scary, feeling stripped of the personal anonymity of emotion. If that makes sense. I can't seem to help it when I write, somehow. But I like your pieces so much. Glimpses into peoples' souls...their lives...they're so meaningful. Painful. Essential, actually. I think.

I like that. Vulnerability is not a weakness, but a choice. I like that a lot.

Not one bit Mary. I'm sort of glad and really relieved that you like it. I was just not expecting an audience. But I highly appreciate it, so much, so thanks a whole lot! It's so much different when you write for an audience compared to writing for one's self.

Likewise! I'd get a kick pretending I'm a photographer, roam the streets with a sophisticated camera slung on one shoulder. *daydreams* Yeah, that would be frigging amazing.

It does bb. It certainly feels like 'personal information' shared are mere formalities. Stripping one's self of that 'anonymity of emotion' you speak of, is actually more revealing to an extent, & scary, I agree with you there. I think, this is one of the main reasons why I chose to keep this journal & other journals I have, from my friends in real life.

I hope you won't get this the wrong way, but it is weirdly easier... to share things such as this one, to... uhmmm, strangers..? ;)

edit: typos are my annoying friends this whole day. gah.

Oh man.. the last time I went to Indonesia, we didn't have enough time to go to the beaches for I was there strictly for a convention. I promised myself I would go back. It's been 3 years and I'm still here. GAH. (I'll be waiting for those 2 pictures-ocean and box, if you ever have the time.)

isn't it amusing how our olfactory system is strangely connected to memories?

Just recently though, I bought this BEAN BOOZLED candy which is basically jelly beans that come in strange flavors. It's somehow similar to Harry Potter's Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans. If you have no idea what that is, just click this, and be surprised. ;)

lol, 'great-niece' Mary? Are we that old? Oh damn. we are. *face palm*

WOOT! I just posted a reply on your entry seconds ago! lmao!

Glad you liked it bb. :)

I'm not yet saving for the SLR. I'm crossing my fingers that the powers-that-be would take pity on me and bless me with one, FOR FREEEEEEEEEEE. (in reference to 'Bedtime Stories' haha!)

hehe! Don't we all wish the same thing. hehe!

Was it good? Bedtime Stories, I mean? You see, I'm not a big fan of Adam Sandler.

Awww, I like the dude. He seems sweet and crazy although he does look like an eggnog. lol! The reason why my friends and I watched it was because tickets for Benjamin Button was just sold out.

The movie was... hilarious. It's quite obvious that its target audience is the younglings, tweeners or kids, but we did enjoy the film. i also blame the candies we ate. So, probably all the laughing was sugar rush induced. lmao
