When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property. (Exodus 21:20-21 NAB)
ALL OF THOSE ARE IN THE OLD TESTAMENT EXCEPT FOR EPHESIANS AND TIMOTHY. ALL OF THOSE MINUS THE TWO ARE WRITTEN BEFORE JESUS CAME TO EARTH. THE TORRAH IS THE OLD TESTAMENT SO IT'S NOT JUST CHRISTIANS ITS JEWS TOO.
and leviticus is fucked up. i never understood that book.
The Old Testament, the scriptures, supposedly the words that God told man to write. It makes sense to say that God's words are wrong and outdated and just change them around a bit to fit our lives better. I'm sure God wouldn't mind us revising his words seeing as he doesn't find himself perfect or anything. No reason to argue about faith though, it's all opinion.
