First, it is best to clarify that when I say radical I am referring to extreme, excess, one end of the spectrum or the other, etc. Not necessarily being a positive nor a negative.
In being radical, you experience not only the orgasmic bliss that is the height of life, but barely livable depression on the other side of the spectrum. In these emotional extremes, it is hard to find balance. Radical opinions are generally illustrating ignorance and/or stubbornness. I say this because most radical opinions either disregard opposing evidence and options or are just simply not knowledgeable of them.
To me the statement less radical seems to have a sad and submissive connentation. While extreme veiws in many circumstances seem to be ignoragnt or biased, they are also the hatchet used to disentangle the thicket of an opressive society and our social inequities which have developed over human history. Also, how much regret would you have if not for some "radical" chances you have taken and some "radical" actions you have taken. Your very life is a mass series of them, from the moment you told your mom to get rid of dad, to your gay pride propaganda, and retard medals...
I do realize that some of the greatest works and ideas formed out of category "irrational" or "radical". Yet, the word in such a context does not seem to hold the same significance or definition. I suppose that the term radical may not be the most fitting for what it is I am trying to express. Radical, in the sense used on this entry, was meant more to express the irrationality of my feelings and actions to certain subjects and people. I can't seem to find the words to express it. This statement sounds corny, I know, but please try not to let its being cliche affect your opinion. :P
