Sometimes letting out steam is better than keeping it in, regardless of who else it might not impact.

Picture if you will a cartoon boiler, with the needle dangerously in the red. The boiler looks about ready to blow apart, but if it lets out the pent up steam Mr. CartoonBoilerMan lets out a big sigh of relief.
