you had more of a social life than I. you are extremely creative, just as you said you need to focus. this hiatus should help to boost your creativity.

i doubt very seriously that you would need exile to be good at something...i lived with you, remember? i know you better than that. perhaps setting a goal to work a certain amount of time every day on a particular task will help? for example, if you were to decide to write every other day for an hour and paint every other day for an hour and you made yourself do it regardless of whether you were satisfied with that hour's product, you might learn that you just need a little time specifically set aside for those tasks to get the proverbial juices flowing again.

we're still in state college. we set an evacuation date for august of next year and a wedding date in september the year after.
