OMG, congratulations!!!! I am so happy for you! (and don't worry, give him a chance to get used to it, snivel and guilt a little and he will come around. Remind him that 9 mos is 3/4 of a YEAR and that you damn well expect some spoiling!)
/hugs, I am so so happy for you, Hun. Congrats on the future Wizard or Pally addition! (and grats on them getting your kill too, James told me.)
thanks. its going so fast and yet so darn slow all at the same time. we haven't told the guild yet. that's a peripheral. but i keep having to leave in the middle of stuff. i probably will soon i guess. thanks about the epic too. it was crazy, but i am close to done now.
I know your having a tough time adjusting and your going thru a lot right now. I remember how I felt with Emily. It is different for men, they don't adjust as fast or as well as we do. We have no choice, they kinda can ingore it for a while then finally come to grips with the idea. Take it one day at a time, you'll feel better after the first trimester, hopefully. Rest when you can, your body will be going thru so many chances. As far as telling people, it really isn't anyones business. Tell them when you want to and are ready...no pressure. Some people wait till the first trimester is over, so they are sure nothing goes wrong etc, then they tell. So think about it and then decide what works best for you.
Hugs!!! congrats again! You're life is going to change so much, as it is starting, but from one mother to another...I'd never change anything. Emily has made my life so much nicer! I can't imagine my life w/o her.
lol thanks janine! i guess its nice to know some people who have been pregnant. i am kind of the first amongst my group of friends, and things are very different then how they were when my mom was pregnant so its hard to get advice sometimes. but you hit the nail on the head. i just feel like i am on a rollercoaster of change. it hasn't been the same thing 2 days in a row. if you truly meant it, i may pick your brain from time to time, i can't recall ever having been this nervous. but just tell me if i get annoying, i'll get over it:P
Of course I mean it, I wouldn't have said it if I didn't :)
I'll help when I can, listen, etc. Not everyone's preg is the same, so all I can tell you is how I experienced it when you need it. I had a TON of people telling me things I didn't want to know, so I'll only sharing stuff with you when you ask lol.
When I was pregnant with Alexa, I remember being exhausted. I would come home from work, go to bed, and then wake up in time to get ready for work. I only threw up twice the entire pregnancy, but I was sick to my stomach for 3 mos. It does get better though. I felt so good the 2nd trimester, I was energetic and walking everywhere. I was heavily into Chips N Salsa, also peaches. I was probably eating better during the pregnancy than before. I craved fruit so much, lol. Peaches FTW!
Your body is going through a lot of changes right now, making a lot more blood and making everything nice and comfy for the lil one. If you think about it, the definition of a parasite fits what the baby is, it exists off of you without giving back the way a symbiote would. I used to joke around that Alexa was my own internal vampire; I felt so drained. It gets better, Hun. Honestly it does.
I wasn't sure if I was supposed to comment on here or wait for a more secure way to say anything, but judging by the rest of the comments here, I'll go with the it's-safe-to-post-here assumption. That being said:
Congratulations!!
And I'm sure things are going to work out alright with it all. It's just a matter of actually having the change sink in and after it sinks in, having it actually be registered, recognized, and understood. By both parties (any probably no different for said "peripherals" as well). I could keep rambling about this and other things, but I'll stop here. This is definitely great news, and know that things will get better!
Thanks:) You know what this means right? I can blame my crankiness and over-tiredness while you were here on being pregnant right? I mean, I know I am an "old lady" and everything, but it was really ridiculous how tired I have been lately...so yeah, I am gonna go ahead and blame my "lameness" when you were here on the baby:P I know things are going to get better, its just that everything is up in the air right now...including my stomach. But I have my first doc's appointment tomorrow, and I am hoping just discussing things with him will calm me down and put me more at ease. I hope your trip back was good!
