So you may have noticed at some points today my layout goin all screwy. That was me basically trying to find a way around the new LJ commenting system, which is ugly and stupid and ugly. I don't want to load 90 icons everytime I want to comment! Just let me choose from a list! And why would you take away the ability to preview comments? That's just ( Read more... )

I don't know, it seems like those kind of people who "recommend" you things are either oblivious (I should hope so anyway...) or blatantly disregard what you've reviewed already and what squicks you out. It's one thing if someone says, "Hey, here's this ridiculous and over-the-top show, you might find fun poking at it", but another if they legitimately think said series is amazing. The latter looks like the case here. :/

It's like if I said I didn't want to watch any movies with bullying in them. Then someone goes up to me and says, "Well, there's one little scene where a kid in a wheelchair gets picked on, but it's important for her character development." Guess what? It's still bullying. Which I clearly and specifically did not ask for.

I'm grapegarden over at DW. It's disorganized since I rarely used it before, and I may consider making separate journals for writing/rp/etc, but I'll provide stable ground before making any big decisions.

I found that the most puzzling up there about the comments, that it should be right up my alley. Do I really give off that impression? I mean I don't think in any of my recaps I've said I liked rape as a plot device or anything. I mean I guess they both look like guys but gee whiz that rape was really creepy and both the guys are such douchebags.

This Yaoi is totally not dumb. I mean there's some raping of a helpless guy who doesn't like teh gays and then he blackmails him into more rape from then on but it's really EPICly stupid.

Permit me to change the topic of jaoi and raep and whatnot, and to say that Wild Arms is freaking awesome. I'm sure many people haven't played it, because of a certain behemoth called Final Fantasy 7 that held most people's attention back then. As you can tell from the music, it does have more of a Wild Westy atmosphere; at the time, it was pretty much unique.

One of those "up there" games in my book. :D
