So far the fire perimeters haven't moved much today and I haven't heard too much wind, although there's no telling what could happen in the future. The whole thing is so unpredictable! The evac map has shrunk although the fire perimeter doesn't seem changed from yesterday... it's eaten a bit into the city, but maybe they've stopped the forward progress in that direction? I could see some bits of fire near the peak of the mountain yesterday, although I didn't get any shots of it. Today it's just smoky, a little less so than the other day I think. Today's update: I can't see the mountain across the way anymore cause there's too much smoke, although it seems to be clearing up a bit and I can't see any flames. A few other fires have popped up around SoCal, some of which are under control now but aren't any closer to me than the current one. Update: I can't see the fire from my window anymore! Or even an orange glow in the distance. I can still smell smoke though, and the fire is still burning uncontrollably, I just can't currently see it. Haven't been told to evacuate yet though at least... -

Odds are high I'm going to have to evacuate soon, which is a LITTLE NERVE-WRACKING. I'm getting stuff together just in case but aaaahhhhhaaaghhhjj -

The power went out for several hours today, and also a big fire started nearby!! I've been watching and taking pictures of it throughout the night, it just keeps getting bigger and closer. :/ I mean there's not really much I can do aside from watch it and prepare to evacuate if I have to... it looks so intense with my eyes but all my photos are so ( Read more... ) -
