The man who started the craze for doorstopper-sized fantasy series, David Eddings, has died aged 77

I know I am very sad, Being of Fan of both The Belgairon and Malrelleon and also his The Elenium and The Tamuli series, he was a very gifted author.

I'll get around to reading all of them eventually.. but still, it is a sad day for fantasy fans everywhere.
