No, seriously, the hands are a nice touch, and I like the colour scheme. Silverish and gold are probably the best piece colours for a black and white board.

However, did you happen to notice that this is not a square board? There are six squares in front of that pawn and two behind it, while there's one to its left and six to its right. If there was only one rank behind the pawn and the silver king is located close to the gold knight and rook, then this position is a chess problem in which the key is to avoid capturing the silver
