augh! glad he's all right...i'm sure all that work must have dulled his senses at a certain point.

what's nightblind? i have a difficult time driving at night too, but mostly because i wear glasses (the lights tend to spread and refract more often, and i can't shell out the money for better lenses) and there are lots of unlighted areas where i live.

well, here's wikipedia's description, but it seems a bit bare. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nightblindness

i just know that one of the things i discussed with my eye doctor when he diagnosed it, was that it's not just the darkness that makes it difficult to see, it's more the way light gets refracted all over the place, and seems blinding IN the dark.

like, i can drive along a road with street lights and lights from stores keeping the street lit somewhat, but everytime a car comes towards me with its headlights on, they blind me (even though i look away like my driving instructor told me).

for years i would ask my husband, "did that car have it's brights on? cuz it blinded me like they were brights" and he'd say, "no... just regular lights... you're too sensitive... don't be so sensitive!"

wow, i had no idea. it sounds awfully poetic in a strange way, like a strange metaphor for something. hmmmmm.

reminds me too much of my guy's thumb slicing incident.

"you should have that stitched!!"
"i can't drive like this!"
"i'll drive you!"
"you don't have a license!"
"i'll call an ambulance!"
"i'm not paying their service fee, i don't need them!"

ok, maybe it was a little different than your guy's incident, at least he let them remedy it :op

hope he's feeling ok. lol@wolfy.

hehe... if guenter had had to get an ambulance, he'd probably rather die than pay the price.

and... he DID tell the doc that if it hadn't been for his weib, he wouldn't have come in, 'cause he doesn't care about scars.

LOL

we were just talking again last night about the time he broke his wrist when we were rolling blading. i was 99% sure it was broken (turned out to be a fracture in fact) and he refused to go to the hospital until the middle of that same night when he literally couldn't tolerate the pain anymore. then he got a cast on it and freaked out from the itching, drilled holes in it and eventually removed it himself!!

*shakes head @ our männer*
