my father just called, and thinks he may have had a heart attack early this morning while he was taking a shower.

Your poor dad! It's unfortunate in so many ways that people w/o health insurance feel the way he does. It's almost as if he's more concerned about racking up a bill than for his own well-being. Keep us updated.
