J is obsessed with Axis & Allies, with mixed results.

Effects of a war game obsession in a 6yo were studied anecdotally in a home environment over the course of two months. Study is still ongoing at time of publication. Effects to date include:
- Increased geographical knowledge, especially as pertains to Europe.

During the course of the study, subject progressed from Risk (extremely simplified) to Axis & Allies, with a curriculum-inspired shift to Axis & Allies WWI (1914) toward the end. Subject has not yet had a chance to observe effects of the differences in tank rules between the two A&A games on game play, so his favorite unit in A&A WWI has not yet been established.

LOL! Sometimes I wish our national leaders played more war games.
