Wow, I've been watching it too. It's fascinating!

I saw a segment on CNN a couple of days ago, comparing different historical eruptions and the subsequent environmental impact. For example, if a really big one goes, we could expect at least one colder-than-normal year, with all the attending subsequent regional changes.

But I have no idea when it might play again and you probably don't want to do a CNN marathon hoping it pops up again. You might try to Google for 'ash in atmosphere' or perhaps some of the bigger eruptions.

Sorry I'm not more help. Personally, I'm waiting for an earthquake to hit Denver, since the entire Rocky Mountain Region is a fault zone. All this seismic activity is interesting, but scary.

This one just happens to be located in a very inconvenient location for the travelling public. Of course, there IS a bigger volcano next to it, and the Icelandic volcanologist woman who was talking about it said that she and her colleagues had a "moment" when they realized the lava from this little one could pour over into the chambers of the larger one and then who knows ( ... )
