So, last weekend I rushed through to Glasgow and spent £112.00 on a new passport. They very surprisingly rushed it through for me as they weren't that busy and I got it in 4hours. Excellent ( Read more... )

Indeed, I dub it Suspicious with a capital S. It's funny how it came back to me a week or so after I cancelled it...

However, on the flip side, if you're doing super-dodgy things with it then you don't return it afterwards. I'm glad I'm not the only person out there having the same thoughts!

Not neccessarily. The idea may be that they use it - e.g. to open accounts - then arrange for you to "find" it, so that you'll think no further on the matter.

I think you can get a free credit check from one or two places....
