There are so many thoughts and reflections and observations to make about today, but it will have to wait until tomorrow, I think. Tonight, I am just too tired after a very very long day.

In the meantime, clicky clicky for picty picty: http://www.facebook

I have been to the Mall for July 4th - back when we lived in Virginia and also when I was in Grad School. No where close to the number of people. The most amazing thing is that the only time that there have been even close to that many people were for protests and rallies...which means that people were pugilistic and self-righteous and at least a little angry. Yesterday...everyone was there, and they were just happy! Even the people who weren't happy at the crowds and the confusion at the gates etc. were happy.

It still seemed a little unreal even yesterday seeing it. It is slowly becoming real today as I read about the actual move to governance, and hearing those blessed words, "President Obama."

Barack Obama is our President.
Joe Biden is our Vice-President.
A great great grand-daughter of slaves is First Lady.

And Dick Cheney? He's just a guy. Without any power at all.
