Eleventh Night [Voice]

Oct 29, 2008 14:01

*there isn't much to be heard beyond an unamused grunt and some rustling. Obviously he's found the Halloween bag* You know I never liked this holiday...Except for being able to do as I pleased on a single night without so much as a question. I have a feeling I won't get that free pass here, though.

You probably blend in with the other freaks nicely that way.

...Oi, your "prey" is gone too, so I hope you enjoyed it while it lasted.

Next time, I'll make sure to break your teeth in first.

My, your petty insults just become more amusing the more you try to offend me with them.

As for that prey...my interest in her waned after her death; it's no great loss.

Oh really? It would be entertaining to see you try.

I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry about that.

Classy.

You sound pretty cocky. You don't even know what the hell I'm capable of.

How about shutting up?

You seem to think I care about people beyond their usefulness to me...Cute.

And you have no idea what I'm capable of, either, do you?

'Death's doorway' is a long forgotten catacomb within the empty gaudiness of this holiday.

Perhaps, for this alone, it interests me.

Hm...I don't believe I'm familiar with such a thing. Elaborate, if you will.

If one dips beneath the surface of 'Halloween,' one finds the traditions of Samhain beneath them. Are you familiar?

If not, this elder festival was dedicated to death in its entirety. During the eve of Samhain, the veil between the worlds was said to be thin, thus allowing the escape of spirits into the living world.

It is the shadow beneath the lighthearted costumes and such. I find it the more intriguing component.

I am rather familiar with Samhain, yes...I find it amusing what humans will celebrate, really. Now if only they truly celebrated Saturnalia as it once was.
