So it seems my extravagant ways have caught up with me.
I thought I was doing pretty well money wise considering the amount of driving I have been doing and paying twice as much rent as in Lancaster. But as it turns out I havent been paying any rent at all, the letting agency seem to have failed in setting up the direct debit but not contacted me about it. Therefore I owe them £1.2k for the past two months rent.
I only discovered this because I got an email this morning from Abarthisti about an Abarth track day at Silverstone on the 22nd Oct, prompting me to check I can afford it. I have been waiting a while for this to be arranged, was mentioned on the forums ages ago. Would finally be a good chance to find the limits of the car and myself in a safe environment with lots of other Abarth owners. But since paying this rent will leave me with about £300 thats not really an option now.
To make matters worse I am not really sure if I can afford to keep travelling as I do most weekends. Over the past two months I have spent more than I have earnt, even without paying rent. Some of this was setting up my new flat (installation fees, new chair, etc) but a significant amount was the cost of all the fuel I burn. So will be trying to cut down the amount of driving I do and also.... drive more effeciently >.>
These are going to be hard times, and can't see it changing for the next 10 months as everything for this flat was a 12 month contract. Just means I will have to save my money for the things I really need. Like Forza 3 :P
