(no subject)
so now I need to shop for hand-lotion. after this weekend, I've got:
left hand:
the bottle-cap slash from palm to ring-finger
knife-wound on thumb
stab under middle-finger nail
right hand:
first-finger knuckle abrasions
glass slices on pinkie and thumb
both hands:
maraschino-stained
reaction to quat sanitizer
numerous wounds too small to see, but readily apparent when in contact with alcohol or citrus
so I need to repair overall dry and aggravated skin conditions, but I have violated various portions of my integument. most lotions warn against applying to broken skin.
my options at work are limited: my hands are constantly wet, I am in contact with quat sanitizer (much nicer than bleach, and premixed to proper dosage), knives and glass and bottle-caps and everything else all desire to put holes in me.
what's a poor boy to do?
I've got mon-thurs to heal up this week, then once more into the breach. also on my shopping list: shoes. and insoles (yes, I may try 'gellin'). shoes ain't gonna be easy (I can find size 15 in basketball shoes, but I can't wear those at work).
and hey, it's monday. I think that means drinking.
