Well, it was a good idea, the video ipod, 30 gb, pictures and all that

Too bad it's way to big to put in your pocket, and Microsoft sucks.

But other than that, it is pretty nifty.

and no, it doesn't

Um ... a large purse, yes.

And yes, it does. On so many levels.

since when do you have small purses?

and without examples, it's hard to make a point

Its an oversized pocket pc. I don't see the big deal here. There's really no advantage to this thing over the current generation of tablet PCs. The remote control stuff is probably just a local (and certainly proprietary) implementation of a VNC server type of setup. The ad is flashy, but this really isn't anything new. Its not small enough to be any more portable than a small laptop. I just don't see the appeal.

It's a cool concept. I want to see if they can get it to work.

Comparing it to an iPod isn't exactly fair to either. It's not simply a digital music player. As a simple digital music player, it would suck, because it's too big. It's smaller than a laptop, though, so it would be convenient for a handbag.

On another note, click here for awesome.

well...its microsoft, all right...

I wasn't really comparing it to an iPod, i've just been waiting for someone to come out with a really great all-inclusive, and this looks like it might be it.

Ja, maybe. I'm cautiously optimistic.
