Last week, I threw out a
challenge to my Flist:
I offered to write personalized Doctor/Rose drabbles for the first 5 of my flist buddies who responded. The plan was/is to incorporate 1 or more of their "interests," taken from their user profiles, into my fic. The catch was that each of them would have to do the same

In this little spin on what could happen for them in the parallel universe, I like to think that they never actually go back to that life. Instead, they start a new adventure where they become beekeepers and make major advances in intergalactic cross-pollination methodology.

Diminutive does not adequately describe the cottage’s proportions.
They ride into town together and purchase two bells.
They become the Terrors of the neighborhood.
Of course they do! :D
Plus the usage of the correct plural nemeses. These kinds of things turn me on, I'm telling you. I just need to find a single man who can do this.
Not many 10.5/Rose stories have them settling in well and finding all they need is each other. I love that this one does, and the economy of language the drabble demanded really served this well. :) ::mems::

This writer's interest list just made me want to take them to a quiet place, carving out a little nook for themselves.
I'm so glad you liked the bit about the bells, and becoming the local Terrors - exactly! They haven't changed who they are, after all. :D
Nemeses - yes! I know that man is out there, just waiting for you to grab hold of his dangling participle! ;)
