DODGE CITY - 2 stars
This was actually better than ELIZABETH AND ESSEX acting wise. Errol Flynn seemed more comfortable in the role.
The plot is very skinny and though it might have been fresh back when the movie was released but now is a worn old chestnut. Colors are gorgeous, too gorgeous, everyone is so clean. I think even John Wayne was dirtier in his films. The costumes are funny too, the heroine is wearing a velvet skirt and a taffeta top that looked like it could have been sold in ant store in the Kate forties, early fifties. Good for one watch but not a keeper. 2 stars
