I remembered CRY BABY as having great music and a really crappy story where every one chewed the scenery and the audience was supposed to find it funny.
I remembered incorrectly. The musical number were made impossible to watch by the scenery chewing and stupid staging. The story and dialog along with the over the top acting was so bad it made you think it was written by some one in grimmer school. This is Dungeons and Dragons bad. Avoid at all costs. 0 stars
