New things going on in my life:
- Got a scooter.  With gas prices being what they are, it's nice to be able to get 60 MPG and fill up once a week for less than $5.  From now on, as long as it's not raining or below 20 degrees outside, I'm on 2 wheels!

On the scooter, how fast can you go? Can you drive on the highway on that? Do you need a motorcycle license to drive it?

My problem with a scooter is that if I am going somewhere far enough away that I am not walking or taking the train (so not school or work), then I am going there with Paul and will most likely need to get on the highway. Right now I have a hybrid SUV (Toyota Highlander) and it's a good car. I want to have a large-ish family in the next ten years and a big-ish car suits that (plus we camp a lot and go on road trips with a bunch of people). We only drive a few times a week, so our gas consumption is low. In a year or so we'll need to buy Paul a car (maybe) and if so I would love to get a Prius. My mom's 2006 Prius is getting a comfortable 50+ mpg and it would be big enough for camping (although not big enough for four kids).

If I were single and living in a smaller place, like CoMo, I would probably get a scooter.
