Not a good day (for once)!

I have been a total jerk today and am puzzled to figure out just why. The worst part is my darling child and I were the only two to witness it. I feel awful about that and now am really down on myself over it. I saw Michael Moore's Sicko today at long last and cried on three separate occasions which has been too long. I am so fed up with this

I'm having a similar prob. No money -working working working, paying all the kids bills , no help, plus my debt (for kids stuff, no help) and my ex is trying to get me to eek eek eek up his time - he wanted 50 50/joint, just to get out of any possible child support - he takes his pay under the table & deposits it in his girlfriends bank account to avoid paying for our two kids - anything I'm so frustrated. last fall he started paying just 1/4th of our younger's care: piggybacking on my main payment and my employee discount - still pays nothing for our elder daughter's classes/care - nothing No medical insurance Dental or other - and he whines an whines about how if give him this *what I agreed to gives him 20 extra days a year from the court proposal* it's just not "enough" He then says he'll take me to court costing us both 10grand - he's such a jerk part of me just wants to stop talking to him and make him go the hard route he's such an ass - sorry. But I'll try to work something out with him - I'm supposed to talk to him tomorrow

I see your frustration to be sure. We have 57/43 joint but I never slacked off. I figure I pay a good chunk for such little difference in time since there are so many deadbeats and avoiders to make up for. I feel I did nothing to not deserve half and not be put at the disadvantage where at 13 the kid will be able to decide whether they want to live with mom who has all the time in the world and luxuries and free money or the hard-working father living out of a hole in the wall. Hoping for a week on week off deal when she hits kindergarten. I have enrolled her in classes and feed her well and do neat things with her and make the holidays a great memory pour my heart and soul into this kid at my personal and financial expense. I just want to be on a level playing field.

F-in' credit companies charge two 39's for the same mistake instead of saying hey ur acct num changed could you please update and square up. I hear it's a good time to negotiate lessening the total amount considered owed given the economy but don't know how to go about

I spent Saturday morning at my bank, talking to a banker about that. She's applied for a "consolidated loan" she says since its not "new debt" they just pay off my credit card and I pay them instead , it's easier to get - here's hoping! That would lower my interest, then I also opened a savings account so I have real cash for emergencies and stop all credit use - and I set up to deposit some money in my savings each paycheck

You all are too kind. Surely you'd be welcome to visit sometime but alas I don't see my housemate (the owner) letting me offer up a room. If it was my own place, it would be different. I don't want to risk boring you all to death so have a backup plan like the road trip or maybe there could be more people on the ciruit. I have to be careful if we enjoy ourselves too much since I've partied too hard a couple times lately and ended up late to work. In any event and even if this is all just shit and giggles, job well done. We stayed up till midnight thirty, th'kiddo and I, and were both much nicer and eventually slept all cuddly together for once in a while's sake.

I have had sicko on hold at the library for months now but just got to the top of the list this week and saw it. Must get a copy and/or the soundtrack. A must see for sure but strentened my desire to leave. Maybe it will get better but I predict not totally any time soon
