Got sucked into an extra three hours at work today when the owner's son flaked out on his recent surge of substitution work. My coworkers were very appreciative of my help which means a lot in an industry that one should not get into in search of an abundance of pats on the back. So Where Did All My Money Go?

I went back the next day and got the bike for my daughter and did some work on it to fit it to her size and run well for a time. I couldn't wait till X-Mas so it is an early gift and she knows if she gets good on it she will get a brand new one with all the belles and whistles.

Two unexpectedly rough days at work (make that a rough week and a hell of a month so far). We closed early for maintenance which means day crew had to close shop. It would have been cool if we had known more than a couple hours in advance. Night crew was informed not to come in but i AM glad I'm not missing two days on my paycheck like they are. Tomorrow is my friday so I can start fresh.

congrats on saving money. i hear gambling can get quite addictive.
i quit smoking a while ago and there's a website that calculates how much you save as time goes on from not buying cigarettes.

I didn't drink this weekend, putting another ten-spot in pocket. Smoking's tough and I like it a lot in that I can collect my thoughts and depressurize and be alone a while. I stay fit by not having a car. Everyone knows cars are a huge problem to everyone but nobody would dream of quitting that. They see it as a necessity (pfft!). Thanks for being a true (online) friend.
