THE shot

As seems to be something of a tradition with me, each year at the Abbey I take one shot that immediately stands out as being THE shot of the tournament... not necessarily my best shot, but the one I remember the year by.

Whats even harder these days is taking an unposed photo of kids! They all seem to know what cameras are for and pose when they see one!

Y'see, posed shots like this I have no problem with *grins* One of the guys on the photography team was always getting everyone to pose for him and really going over the top about it (asking them to stand over here, reach out like this, etc) which amused me a bit (it's just so unlike my style of photography). But there's a certain connection you get with the subject when there's eye contact that you miss out on otherwise.
