Colin Powell sounds so good and reasonable in disclosing why he will be voting for Barack Obama that it makes me want to forgive his collusion in selling the Iraq War.

Also, this Wall-Street/Main Street bullshit is fucking stupid, and anyone who engages in this rhetorical ploy puts himself at hazard of being a shithead.

I've also talked to two young Republicans here in Alabama who have said that they're in favor of there being a black American president, just not yet.

This is the same shitty view that says that slavery should have been phased out, but over a longer period of time.

These people hate black people. They're shitheads.

The next four years are going to be fun to watch.

"Just not yet"? What the fuck does that mean? We need to adequately prepare for radical change, so that the slow, glacial forces of time will eventually do the work for us? Yeah, cause that's how the world really works.

That was me. Although I do like the idea of you puzzling over who anonymously lambasted Republicans on your livejournal, my manners win in the end, and I unmask myself.

They might have just meant they don't want a Democratic black president, since they should naturally favor a Republican black president.

I bet they'd vote for Alan Keyes if he was talented enough to get to where Obama is.

I don't know if Powell KNEW the bullshit he was feeding the UN or what. Given who helped pass that info, it doesn't seem totally out of the question that he was told everything was true, pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

Also, why is Karl Rove not in jail yet? He's back in America. He's ignored a subpoena. I'm pretty sure I'd be rotting in some cell.

It's in Woodward's "Path to War" that Powell was never convinced. If you like, I can go to the library and sift through that boring motherfucker and tell you exactly where.

The last I heard about Karl Rove was that he had claimed some kind of executive privilege. The truth is probably just that the Justice Department is either a bunch of toadies or pussies.

See, I thought a judge had ruled he didn't have executive privilege. Oh well, guess they just decided rules don't apply to him.
