Currently numbering 308. Though that figure includes 16 yet to be shipped and 1 I bought from
cracktastic which I'm almost about to give up on since it's been a little over 2 weeks.
I took this pic with them on a two-seater sofa so you can see how big they are. Just after this pic my camera broke. It's got this retractable lens and it keeps getting stuck. My husband took it apart and put it back together twice and now it takes pictures, though it keeps getting stuck until you whack it! But there's no previews, so I had to take a pic, check it, move the camera a bit, check it again! I so can't wait to get a new mobile phone now. Gonna get one with a good camera!
And now to the Gintama box....
I am such an Anthology addict! There's 20, though 2 of them aren't actually anthologies but Reprint collections.
Because it's a top down shot (so I could fit them all in), it doesn't look like that many but there are 48. And there's another 11 anthologies and 3 doujinshi on the way.
The Initial D...
The core of my collection. I'm a hard core IniD fan, no doubt about it :D
My cherished Megamouse collection. I am a die-hard Megamouse fan. According to Hori Erio's website she released a total of 65 (not including reprint volumes) and I've managed to obtain 63! Some of them cost a bundle, quite are few of them are rare. It's not easy collecting dj that were published up to 8 years ago. A couple of them are even autographed :)
Pink Power - A mere 29 :) There's around 60 something of these too. They're pretty hard to find as well. Pink Power got me started on my IniD doujinshi journey and was actually my first Doujinshi purchase in fact.
The happiest day in my IniD Dj collecting life was when I found out that a mangaka of Naona Boura's calibre had done some Initial D. And it is fantastic too. I'd always had a thing for Bunta and I was estatic to see her version of him. And the other other half of her circle (Kogunma) Watari Ahomi draws a super cute Keisuke x Nakazato.
And another special collection by a circle called Worship. If the pen name is to be believed the doujinka is a guy. I paid $100AU for these. The covers are textured, see through paper, absolutely gorgeous. And a great story too.
Jet Monster's Sakura Sakuya draws the most adorable Keisuke. Though he wasn't as cute in her earlier doujinshi's. Initial D is where Sakura started. I've got 14 so far, 3 of them are reprint collections and those have 16 doujinshi inside, so that's really 29 :)
The rest of my Initial D - all 62 of them :) So that's around 190 Initial D doujinshi's, almost 2/3's my total collection. I guess you could say I like them a bit...
Miscellaneous...
43 of them - 8 One Piece (all Love Potion No.9), 15 Ruroni Kenshin, some Bleach, some Air Gear, some Shaman King and some Taishi Zaou stuff including the best Sokyuu no Fafner dj you'll ever see. Her style almost matches the canon exactly. I've got to get round to translating this.
And last but not least, making good use of one of boxes that some of them came in one of my 2 cats, Maggie:
There's no such thing as a wasted box in our house. Her sister likes sleeping in there too. They love the newspaper lining :)
And in the top left corner there's a box that's full of doubles I've bought and a bunch of IniD fan novels I got as part of an auction.
And that's it!!
To keep track of it all I've got a spreadsheet. I even go through and list out which circles are in my Gintama anthologies so if I'm looking for someone specific I can go straight to it rather than look through them all :
