February's Haul
What I bought in February - way too much Gintama....AGAIN! Or 10 reasons why wamyne and mee_goreng will hate continue to stalk me :)
Do you know how hard it is to take pictures with a camera when you can't see anything in the viewfinder - it's so hit and miss. It's a piece of junk and I can't wait to replace it!!
So a couple of Initial D anthologies - which I bought cos it said it had one of my fav doujinka's in it, but it turned out to be sometihng I had elsewhere. But there's some interesting stuff still and it is SO FULL OF CRACK!!
There's Kisayuki's latest. And it is very HOT!! Right from the very 1st page where Yamazaki is having a very naughty dream about his Fukuchou ;) And I filled a couple of holes in my Komae Salon collection with 2 of her older works. The purple one is a continuation of Es which was kinda angsty :) The blue one is an AU story set in a lawyer's office. Yes!! Office Sex! It's what they call a copy book. Copy for Photocopy I believe. But it's the best damn copy book I've seen and I've got a few. It's not like the artwork was unfinished either. It's printed on really good quality paper especially the cover which is irridescent. It doesn't have any binding it's just stapled at the top so it'll be so easy to scan. No gutters!! Each page has 2 pages of manga on it and is blank on the other side. It's a scanners dream :D
And I couldn't resist Komae Salon's Gundam 00 Books. It'll be interesting to be in on a fandom right from the beginning. I haven't watched Gundam 00 yet, I'm waiting till it finishes airing and I know I have a full set of fansubs to watch ;) Regardless, I bought it since I know I'll like the series, never seen a Gundam I didn't like. I mean the anime character designs are done by Yun Kouga - so they're cool to start with. Then take someone of Matsumoto Azusa's talent and it's got to be good, right? They're pretty short but the artwork is great. Typical crack/smut that is her trademark. Short I guess since the anime can't have aired more than a dozen episodes at the time they were written, so not a whole lot of the original story to work with.

And some Gintama Anthologies:
Top left - a Hijikata Uke anthology. Apart from one Takasugi x Hijikata story I didn't really like this so I think I'll try selling it over at the gintama dj comm. It's like A4 size which is kinda unusual for an anthology.
Next to that is another A4 anthology. It's a mix of manga and novel. It's Gintoki seme and Hijikata Uke though not always with each other. There's some good stuff in there. A new Kisayuki - yay! Only 3 pages T_T I tell you Yamazaki may be the seme but Hijikata is totally in charge of that relationship :) Komae Salon - but only 2 pages! Circle 4369 - very nice art. And my first dj featuring Itao! I'd never seen him before. Why did no one tell me he was a hot megane babe! Yep, despite the novels, I really like this one :)
To the right of that is Vol 4 of the monthly Hijikata Toushirou Susume series. This one is Hijikata seme (though the first 3 were Uke) . I don't like it as much as the Uke books since I prefer him on the bottom :) It does have an albicocca (which I dont' mind their art - one of the better Okita's I've seen). Disappointed that the Obamame in there is one I already have since I adore her! Well I guess I can scan this copy and save my other :) And my first taste of Hijikata x Shinpachi! As I thought I don't mind it (I am totally open to any pairing in Gintama, Amanto excluded) Shinpachi was drawn girlier than I liked though. Cover by Albicocca too.
On the bottom left we have a GinHiji Anthology that came out last month called GinHiji Cinema. Gorgeous cover! Sadly the Komae Salon work inside I have - Honey Honey My Honey. And I had the Yamada Shiro too (Kou) - damn I only have 3 Yamada Shiro and out of all the one's she's done they have to reprint one I have! Super Unlucky! But there is Nanao :D And a PLUG (Visible Ray) which I didn't have :D
And next to that is another Feb release a GinHiji special of Bushigin (an anthology that's been coming out for 3 years. Another Komae Salon cover and another story inside I already have - Love Love Show. The Yamada Shiro I dont have :D Happy G Time Machine. How many Time Machine books are there!? It's got this great Kokorozashi one where Gintoki puts on Hijikata's jacket while Hijikata's asleep in bed. It's very sexy. And a great Merakori - doesn't Merakori remind you of PLUG a little foru? It's the simplicty of the artwork I think.
And the other two are also Bushigin anthologies. The first is a Shinsengumi Special. One or two things in there - an OkiYama and a Nanao Shinsengumi :) The other has a cover by Obamame with OkiKagu on the back. I must buy more Obamame I love how she draws every character. This is a pretty good book. Not much shounen ai, some crack, some cute stories (a very cute Kagura), an adorable Sakamoto, a very cool Okita-centric story and a Kondou-Hijikata-Okita early days story. Yeah I like that one too :)

Despite the doubles of somethings I got, I deem it a good haul :D Though I may start to lay off the Anthologies and concentrate on my favourite circles. But for March I have already bought a Takasugi Uke Anthology (one can never have enough Takasugi I say) and 7, yes 7 Sakamoto x Takasugi books by Tokiku Harumaki. It's the start of the SakaTaka Revolution!!!!!!!!!!!
