I'm curious about the real side of forensics (I admit, CSI is probably my top favourite show, but I know it takes a LOT of liberties with science), so if you wouldn't mind having me on that filter, I'd like to be added. :)

And gruesome... lawl. I thought I'd gotten better about that since one of my roomies in university was a biology major (our dinner time conversation consisted quite often of talk about decay/faecal matter, etc.), and then I saw 2 girls 1 cup. I am now Iron Woman, and not by choice. :[

I'm sorry, but I hate that show with a passion... but yeah, lots of liberties with the science and causes juries to have unrealistic expectations of just what forensics does. /steps off soapbox

I have not seen that, nor do I want to. It sounds awful.

People don't seem to comprehend that there's a difference between what's shown on a television show and what's reality. (It's the same as IC/OOC in role play!) HUGE difference, and it sucks that it does give a lot of people unrealistic expectations for things like that.

It is. I could have lived without it, but I'm stupid sometimes and have a rather morbid sense of curiosity. I think that's the worst part -- I can't even blame anyone but myself!
